Regional authors of Bengal: Bengali literature is one of the famous literatures in India. Though Bengali literature developed long back but the 19th century is marked as the period when the renaissance of Bengali literature took place.

Likewise the Hindi authors always touched some social, political or religious aspect in order to enlighten the Indian masses. The authors believed that literature was an important source of educating the citizens.
