• Delhi Fire Station : The fire station in Delhi serves the population through its three stations. The fire department employs a good number of people who are trained to face situations of inferno and to control it. After the Indian Independence, the Delhi Fire Service was approved by the then provincial force. The fire department was formerly owned by the Delhi Municipal Committee but now is run by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Since then the fire department of Delhi have initiated certain steps to improve the fire service. One such step was the introduction of radio communication in the Delhi Fire Station. • Delhi Cantonment Board : The local municipality board of Delhi is known as the Delhi cantonment board. It is governed by the Indian Ministry of Defence.Seven elected members form the Delhi Cantonment Board, of which three are elected from the military. From the remaining four, one should be a representative of the District Magistrate and the other three are ex- officio members- garrison engineer, senior executive medical officer and the station commander. The Cantonment Executive Officer of the Board is a member of the Indian Defense Estates Service. The president of the Board is the head who presides over the meetings of the Delhi Cantonment Board. The functions of the cantonment board are to look after the water supply, education, roads, birth as well as death registrations, public health, street lightning, fire fighting and so on. The Delhi Cantonment Board functions through its seven wards to carry out its duty effectively.

• Delhi Jal Board : Delhi Jal Board was formed on 6th April, 1998 through an act of Delhi Legislative Assembly. The board is responsible for supplying drinkable water to the inhabitants of Delhi. The board has taken various steps to carry on its duty effectively. Production and Distribution of potable water is taken up by the Delhi Jal Board, which filters water received from various sources. The Jal Board of Delhi receives water from rivers like Yamuna, Upper Ganga Canal, Bhakra Storage and groundwater, which is used to supply water to the residents of Delhi. Gallons of water are supplied to the New Delhi Municipal Council and Cantonment areas. The sewage system in these areas is also looked after by the Delhi Jal Board.
