This is the biggest of all tourist attractions in Agartala. Once the residence of the Manikya Kings, the palace boasts of a splendid architecture. Mughal style gardens lend an extra charm to the beauty of the palace.
On a green-coated hillock, the palace basks on the hallowed memory of Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel laureate poet. It was one of his favorite retreat in Tripura, where he composed many of his songs.
