Many reputed educational institutions dot the city of Bangalore among which the MBA colleges are the most popular. Most of the Bangalore MBA colleges are affiliated to Karnataka University or Bangalore University. Any candidate, who has passed graduation in any discipline with a minimum percentage of marks as specified by the MBA colleges, can apply for the MBA program at the MBA institutions in Bangalore. Students awaiting their graduation results can also apply for the program. Once theses criteria are fulfilled, one is eligible to seat for the management entrance test on the basis of which admission to MBA program is done at the Bangalore MBA institutions. The entrance examination is followed by general discussion and personal interview.
The forms for admission to MBA are available from the MBA colleges in Bangalore or the respective websites of the colleges. The MBA program is generally a two year course. However, scope for pursuing part time MBA programs at the MBA schools in Bangalore are also there. Internship of several months in any of the companies forms a compulsory part of the curriculum of MBA. Almost all the MBA colleges are replete with a placement cell, which arranges for placements of students in reputed companies and corporate houses.
