This is an engineering degree, which can be either a professional degree or an academic degree. Initially, this program was started in India by a few reputed institutions with an aim to gift some research engineers to the nation, who will be able to serve the country as technologists in the different industries and research institutes.
The number of MCA seats are limited in all the universities of India. The curriculum also varies from one college to another for the MCA Entrance. Therefore, it is hard to have a combined method when the students are getting ready for the exam. The students should have excellent mathematical and calculative skills (some questions might come from B.Sc standards) since majority of the questions will come from Statistics and Mathematics. Computer awareness is an added advantage.
